The Wichita State Shockers have become only the fifth team seeded ninth or higher to reach the Final Four, knocking off the Ohio State Buckeyes 70-66. The preceding overachieving underdogs were Penn (9 in 1979), LSU (11 in 1986), George Mason (11 in 2006) and Virginia Commonwealth (11 in 2011). The Shockers had a 20-point lead in the second half and outlasted a furious Buckeyes comeback.
