Two months after a Texas district attorney vowed to put away the "scum" who had killed one of his top deputies, he and his wife were found shot to death in their home Saturday. Mike McLelland and his wife, Cynthia, were discovered in their Kaufman County home east of Dallas. A door was kicked in and "there are shell casings everywhere," a police official told the Dallas Morning News. Kaufman County Assistant District Attorney Mark Hasse was shot to death outside the county courthouse Jan. 31.
