A heavy concrete block appeared on the front lawn of the Paseo Grill in Oklahoma City on Friday. A bronze plaque attached to the monument bears the words, "In the Year of Our Lord 2012 Creer Pipi claimed this land for Azathoth." Restaurant owners aren't quite sure what to make of the monument or its reference to the novelist H.P. Lovecraft's fictional deity Azathoth. The bizarre block weighs several hundred pounds. Restaurant owner Lesley Rawlinson said, "This is not something you just drive by and throw out the window. Someone had to come and set it down here."
