Working Families Party May Abandon Cuomo

The Working Families Party is unlikely to support New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, a Democrat, for re-election. Instead, the influential liberal party expects to put its support behind Zephyr Teachout, a Fordham law professor who was the director of online organizing for Howard Dean's presidential bid. "It feels like Cuomo is part of this broken system, and he is not going to fix it," Teachout said. "Voters in New York want a real choice, and right now, with just [Rob] Astorino and Cuomo -- they seem to just be fighting about who can give more tax breaks to the billionaires."
