Joan Rivers, 81, was placed in a medically induced coma Thursday at New York City's Mount Sinai Hospital after going into cardiac and respiratory arrest during a doctor's visit. EMTs rushed an unresponsive Rivers to the hospital after a 911 call at 9:40 a.m. Thursday. Doctors are unsure how long Rivers went without breathing.
