Not It Labs Turns Family and Office Chores Into a Game

There's not much fun about doing chores for work or home, but one startup hopes to gamify the experience with a new smartphone app.

Not It Labs, a startup out of Birmingham, announced at SXSW this week it plans to release an iPhone app for delegating real-world tasks through an online game that is modeled after Tag. If the garbage needs to be taken out at home or someone in the office needs copies made of a report, Not It's app will send a notification to the group letting them compete to not get stuck with the task. It's not just a matter of being the first one to opt out; Not It gives users the option to earn badges and immunity to get out of chores.
