Andres Amador is a 42-year-old San Francisco native who now spends much of his time as an "earthscape artist." What's that mean? Well, he uses rakes to create elaborate geometric patterns on Northern California beaches, letting them stand for others to admire until the tide comes in and wipes his sandy canvas clean. That video was made by the San Francisco Chronicle , which recently profiled Amador in a written story as well


“Nothing else is on my mind when I’m doing my artwork,” Amador tells the Chronicle. “You can’t hear the cars. The city washes away. I kind of feel as though I’m painting. I’m using my whole body, and the end of the rake is my brush.” Read more...
