Military Wants Ender's Game Drones

Darpa, the U.S. Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, is kicking off a project to develop collaborative swarm drones that can be operated by a single person, allowing the "commander" to issue commands that the drones will interpret and carry out. The goal of these capabilities is to make it possible for drones to operate in more hostile environments than the skies over countries like Afghanistan and Iraq, where drones were able to largely fly with impunity.
