NBC's The Voice just turned its big red chair around for Pharrell Williams, picking the Grammy-winning musician as the new coach for the singing competition.
Pharrell, whose "Happy" single recently vied for Best Original Song at the Academy Awards, will join the cast in season seven, taking over for CeeLo Green. There's no word on whether the eye-catching hat Pharrell famously wore to the Grammys (pictured, above) will make a cameo.
The Voice made the news official on Twitter:
