Both the iPhone and iPad sales are down from the previous quarter, but this marks the first time the iPad has seen a yearly decline in sales, a 14 percent decrease YOY. Jennifer Lawrence and Other Celebs Hacked as Nude Images Circulate on the Web

A major trove of celebrity images, some including images alleged to be actress Jennifer Lawrence nude, began spreading all over the web and Twitter on Sunday evening Early word of the images began spreading on 4Chan earlier in the day, where posters claimed that the images were the result of a hacker intrusion on a number of iCloud accounts and that the images included nude celebrities such as Victoria Justice, Emily Browning, Kate Bosworth, Jenny McCarthy and Kate Upton However, at least one of the alleged victims of the hack has taken to Twitter to dispute the authenticity of the images. Cleaning Startup Homejoy Opens An Office In New York City

Homejoy offers its home cleaning services in more than 30 North American markets , but it managed to expand without opening any offices outside of its San Francisco headquarters — until January, when it opened an office in New York City’s financial district. It’s been almost exactly a year since Homejoy launched its services in the Big Apple , following the same system it has used in other geographies — a network of contract cleaners overseen by on-the-ground city and regional managers. That approach makes for “an effective business model” by keeping costs relatively low, said Danny Rueda, the company’s northeast regional manager. However, this presents challenges when it comes to giving those managers “a connection to HQ, a connection to the company.” So one of the main purposes of the New York office is create “a hub” where Homejoy city managers across the northeast can meet up and share tips and experiences. The Christmas Peak in App Downloads Is Weaker Than Ever

The app industry is growing up. Consumers downloaded 11% more apps on Christmas Day this year than on Dec. 25, 2012, according to data from app analytics group Flurry. While that still makes for a record number of downloads, it is markedly slower growth than seen in recent years — an indication that the near-exponential growth of app sales in previous years will most likely never return. "Fewer people are coming online with mobile for the very first time.
