The award for best principal ever goes to Diane Wilkinson.
Schenectady High School senior Draven Rodriguez was a kid with a dream: to take a yearbook photo with his cat, Mr. Bigglesworth. Rodriguez was so passionate about his portrait, he even created a preemptive petition for the school board to allow his photo to be printed — before they even issued a decision.
In a compromise, his cat photo was accepted for a different part of the yearbook, separate from the other student portraits. However, Principal Diane Wilkinson and her chihuahua, Vivienne, found a way to make Rodriguez's photo a whole lot better — by joining in. Read more...
