3D Printer Turns Body Scans Into Gummi Candy

The FabCafe in Shibuya, Tokyo, is offering 3D printed gummi sweets for "White Day," a Japanese version of Valentine’s Day. On March 14, males are expected to give gifts to their sweethearts. Nine lucky male customers will be selected to have their bodies scanned, rendered, and 3D printed into sweet treats. The event is part of FabCafe’s two-part White Day workshop. The workshop costs 6,000 Yen per person (around $62), and the spots are limited. Cat Paws Can Unlock the iPhone 5S Fingerprint Sensor

One of the biggest new features of Apple's new iPhone 5S smartphone is its high-tech fingerprint sensor called Touch ID. But it looks like it can read more than just human skin. TechCrunch tried out the sensor on a cat's paw and successfully unlocked the device. Just like with human fingerprints, the paw would have to be programmed to the iPhone 5S for access. Several security concerns surround the fingerprint sensor, but we haven't seen any full hacks just yet.
