Kevin Drum, a liberal blogger for Mother Jones, revealed in a post Friday that he's undergoing treatment for multiple myeloma, a cancer of blood plasma cells. Drum writes, "I'm young, I'm not displaying either anemia or kidney problems, and treatments have improved a lot over the past decade. So my short-term prognosis is pretty positive. ... My oncologist thinks I have a very good chance of complete remission." The 56-year-old began blogging in 2003 for his own CalPundit site, then moved to Washington Monthly in 2004 and Mother Jones four years later.
