A man suspected of shooting attacks on at least three buildings in downtown Austin was killed early Friday morning outside of Austin police headquarters, one the buildings he targeted. Austin Police Chief Art Acevedo said it was unclear whether the gunman, a white man in his 50s who is a resident of Austin, died by his own hand or by an officer who fired at the man. The gunman targeted the Mexican consulate, the U.S. Federal Courthouse and Austin police headquarters.
