Farmers in Thailand use a swarm of ducks, 10,000 strong, to clean up the fields after rice crops are harvested on farms in Nakhon Pathom province in Thailand. The army of ducks instinctively head to the water in the flooded fields and devour pests and unwanted remains of rice husks, this is the farmer’s traditional method of cleaning the fields and enables them to reduce the use of chemicals and pesticides.
